Eden asked me, "Mom, what is Memorial Day?" So I explained, "It is a day where we remember all those soldiers who died fighting in wars." And Elly interjected, "While trying to find food for the fishees."
We have lots of fun home improvement plans this weekend: install a new storm door, install a new kitchen counter top, paint the cabinets, and install a ceiling fan. Good ole Dan!
Special thanks from us to Grandpa Lloyd and Grandpa Walt who served their country in the Army and Navy respectively. Lloyd did a tour of duty in Korea and other parts of Asia in Korean War. Thanks to all our soldiers and we pray for safety for the ones who are serving today, and for their families, who, like my grandmother so many years ago, spend lots of lonely days and nights without their loved ones so that we can have the freedoms we all enjoy.
